-The municipal ice rink of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains was built in the 1950s. Uncovered at the beginning, it has undergone many changes: roof, addition of steps, etc …,
-The city of Saint-Gervais wanted this equipment to comply with regulations and enhance its attractiveness to sportsmen and the general public,
-The building envelope (roof and translucent walls) was completely removed and replaced with a new envelope with outstanding thermal and acoustical performance. The translucent outer walls were totally changed to improve thermal characteristics. A set of LED lighting creates an animation of the façade by night, both inside and outside,
-The change in snow and wind regulation imposed the strengthening of the structure before reinstalling the new cover. The west side of this coverage was coated with 1000 m2 of photovoltaic panels producing 172.2 kWp,
-The dehumidification system of the rink was installed and heating system for the bleachers realized,
-The schedule was rigorously managed (implementation by the architect) to take advantage of the off-season (late April 2010 to mid-July 2010) and complete the work for the provision of the rink for ice hockey training in the summer of 2010.
